About

A bit about me

I'm Simon. I run a small consultancy called Digital Drift and write a weekly newsletter called Four Hour Freedom.

Working a little differently

A while back I had a stroke. One of the things it left behind is fatigue, which means that, for now, I can't work full days. I still work mornings and afternoons, just not a full-length working day.

It's also made me much more deliberate about how I work. There's no room for busywork, so I plan in quarters, focus on the few things that matter most, and let the rest go. I take on fewer projects, and the ones I do take on get my full attention.

Do fewer things, and do them properly. That's more or less the whole philosophy.

What I'm working on

Most of my time goes on Digital Drift, where I help agencies and consultancies turn up when people ask AI assistants for a recommendation. The rest goes on Four Hour Freedom, my Saturday newsletter for people building a business on limited time.

Come and say hello

LinkedIn is where I talk shop. Bluesky is a bit more relaxed.
